The Magus focuses her eldritch power into challenging her foes on the battlefield, overcoming them through guile and magic.


Magus Class FeaturesEdit

The Magus gains the following class features:


Weapon ProficienciesEdit

As a sorcerer, the Magus is proficient with swords, flails, blades, bludgeons, and thrown weapons.


Armor ProficienciesEdit

As a sorcerer, the Magus is proficient with light armor.


Magic ProficienciesEdit

As a sorcerer, the Magus can cast arcane spells, using the Intimidate skill in place of Arcana.


Skill ProficienciesEdit

As a sorcerer, the Magus is proficient in Arcana and Intimidate.
Additionally, spellsword mastery grants proficiency in Athletics,
and eldritch challenge grants proficiency in Endurance.

Spellsword MasteryEdit

(magus class feature)

  • You gain training in the Athletics skill.
  • You gain a +1 class bonus to your Reflex defense.
  • You gain a class bonus to your maximum hit points equal to your level, or equal to twice your level if you receive another class bonus to maximum hit points.
  • You gain a class bonus to opportunity attack rolls equal to your Dexterity modifier.
  • You gain the metamagic, Channel Bladespell:

Prerequisites:

Spellsword Mastery

Trigger:

You would damage an enemy with a melee weapon attack that you are proficient with.

Effect:

The attack deals an additional +1d8 + [ magic damage bonus ] damage to that target and automatically causes one arcane affliction, in addition to any of its other effects. The damage type and arcane affliction are determined by your spell source. Until the end of your next turn, any creature that begins its turn adjacent to you takes damage of that type equal to your magic damage bonus.

When you choose an at-will spell, you may choose from the following options.


Eldritch ChallengeEdit

  • You gain training in the Endurance skill.
  • You gain a +1 class bonus to your Fortitude defense.
  • You gain a class bonus to your maximum hit points equal to your level, or equal to twice your level if you receive another class bonus to maximum hit points.
  • You may mark a target within 5 paces of you as an immediate action.
  • Targets marked by your Eldritch Challenge suffer a -2 penalty to attacks that do not include you as a target.
  • You gain the metamagic, Eldritch Curse:

Eldritch CurseEdit

Trigger:

You damage a target marked by your eldritch challenge with an attack, or a target marked by your eldritch challenge makes an attack that does not include you as a target.

Effect:

One arcane affliction of a type determined by your spell source.

When you choose an at-will spell, you may choose from the following options.
